From product launches and conferences to exhibitions and weddings, an Event Manager will plan and publicize the occasion to bring the right people to the right place, at the right time. The event’s success rests on the shoulders of the Event Manager. Every detail, including planning, budget and setting up a publicity campaign, and creating the necessary ‘wow factor’ is in your capable hands. An Event manager can work in an event company or as part of an organization or association. It is a varied role with three main areas – marketing, operations and sales. Some may choose just one field, but it’s possible to work in all three.

He should have previous experience in the Events, hospitality and tourism industry. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective and professional relationships to ensure that you are building a profitable portfolio of clients within the MICE (Meetings, incentives, conferences, events/exhibitions) sector.

The Manager leads, manages and oversees the back of house department and all venue build out logistics, design, visuals, floor plans, and special elements for Event produced. Manage, lead and motivate team staff, including Supervising and managing the back of house team, Daily and weekly check-ins, Conduct team performance reviews, Manage team workload; divide and delegate workload and tasks, Keep team motivated, productive and working efficiently, Create and maintain department policies and procedures, Ensure team contributes to and adheres to company and department policies and procedures.

A Business Development Manager works to improve an organization’s market position and achieve growth. He/she defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The primary role is to prospect for new clients by Networking, Persuasion, Prospecting, Research, Closing Skills, Sales Planning, Identification of Customer Needs, Market Knowledge, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients and Client Retention for company. They must develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.

Certified accountants work to improve the efficiency and maximize the profitability of an organization. Duties include, but are not limited to the following, Financial data analysis and special projects, Event accounting and event financial reconciliations, Preparing general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts, Monthly bank account reconciliations, Monthly reimbursable expense invoices to clients, Assist with financial/accounting operations on site at our sporting events, Some travel required to our events, mainly in the Spring and Summer, Some weekend work required on site at our events, Keying expense and revenue invoices into the accounting software, Regular accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, Monthly/Quarterly Sales and Use tax filings.

PA works closely with senior managerial or directorial staff to provide administrative support, usually on a one-to-one basis. PAs help managers to make the best use of their time by dealing with secretarial and administrative tasks. Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority, organizing and maintaining diaries and making appointments, dealing with incoming email, corresponding on behalf of the manager, taking dictation and minutes, producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations, organizing and attending meetings and ensuring the manager is well prepared for meetings, liaising with clients.
